Creating A Soundtrack For All Of Your Holiday Festivities

Holiday season can be stressful, no doubt about it! But it can also be just as much fun. Let’s make sure you have the perfect soundtrack for your holiday events, whether entertaining with a nice dinner or getting people up on their feet.

Here are our favorite ways to entertain with the right music:

#1: If you were a song, which one would you be??

Go over the list of your guests attending, and pick a song that reminds you of each of them. The playlist can contain songs that vary from cool serenades to sick beats. Don’t worry about how wildly different the songs are from each other! And to make the party even more fun, ask your guests to guess which song is dedicated to them. A little interactive amusement never hurt anyone!

#2: Shake up the old with the new

Show some respect for the well-loved classics, they earned it! We’re talking the must plays…Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, Frank Sinatra’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, Madonna’s “Santa Baby”, and The Jackson 5’s “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”…

But let’s face it, you need to spice up the classics from time to time. Infuse your playlist with a touch of the catchiest more recent songs (don’t deny you sing along to these in the car!). Go ahead and add Ariana Grande’s  “Santa Tell Me”, “Mary Did You Know” by Pentatonix, or Sam Smith’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. Everyone will surely enjoy these hits.

#3: Give your guests something to dance to

Good themed holiday music will get your guests bobbing their head along to the beat… but a little bit of non-holiday top 40s or some good rock classics never hurt! Just because you’re at your grandma’s house doesn’t mean Aunt Irene won’t have fun shaking it to Taylor Swift. It will at the very least make this year’s holiday celebration all the more memorable!!
